Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
A short list of what is and isn't allowed on Tillstock, so businesses and their shoppers are safe. Most people will never need it.
1. What this covers
- This policy applies to everyone who uses Tillstock: business owners, their staff, and anyone using an online store that runs on Tillstock. It is part of the Terms of Service.
- Tillstock is for running a legitimate business. Use it that way.
2. You must not
- Break the law, or use Tillstock to sell, promote or store anything illegal.
- Sell goods or services that are prohibited by law, counterfeit, stolen, or that infringe someone else's rights.
- Use the service to deceive or defraud shoppers or anyone else, including false prices, fake stock or taking payment for things you do not provide.
- Try to access another business's data, another user's account, or any part of the service you have not been given.
- Probe, scan or test the service's security without our written permission, or bypass its limits and controls.
- Overload, disrupt or interfere with the service or the people using it.
- Upload viruses, malware or other harmful code.
- Copy, reverse engineer, resell or sublicense the service, or let people outside your business use your account.
- Share sign-in details, or create several accounts to get around package limits.
- Use the service to send spam or messages people have not agreed to receive.
- Put in other people's personal information that you do not have the right to use.
- Use scrapers or bots against the service or a store on it, other than search engines and ones we provide.
3. Content in your online store
- You are responsible for everything shown in your store: products, photos, descriptions, prices and policies.
- Content must not be unlawful, hateful, threatening, harassing, misleading or infringing. If you sell goods that are age-restricted or regulated where you operate, you must follow the law that applies to them.
- You must have the rights to the images and text you upload.
4. Keeping your account safe
- Use a strong, unique password, and turn on two-factor sign-in.
- Give each person their own account with only the access they need.
- Remove people who leave your business, and tell us straight away at support@tillstock.com if you suspect someone has gained access without permission.
5. What happens if the rules are broken
- For a minor or first problem, we will tell you what needs to change and give you a reasonable time to fix it.
- Where there is a serious or urgent risk (for example a security threat, fraud, illegal content or harm to others), we may suspend access straight away and tell you why.
- If the problem is not fixed, or is repeated or serious, we may end the Agreement under the Terms of Service.
- We may remove content that breaks this policy, and report unlawful activity to the authorities.
- Fees already paid are not refunded where the Agreement ends because of a breach of this policy.
6. Reporting a problem
- If you see something that breaks this policy, or you think your account has been misused, email support@tillstock.com.
7. Changes
- We may update this policy. We will tell account owners by email before a material change takes effect, as the Terms of Service describe.
